Welcome to the Credit and Investments Ombudsman

The Credit and Investments Ombudsman (CIO) is an external dispute resolution (EDR) scheme for the financial services industry, approved by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

The Credit and Investments Ombudsman provides an accessible and independent dispute resolution service as an alternative to legal proceedings for resolving complaints with a financial services provider. Participating financial services providers include credit unions and building societies, non-bank lenders, mortgage and finance brokers, debt collection, financial planners and a wide range of other financial services and product providers.

The service is free to consumers.

If you have a complaint about a financial service or product, the Credit and Investments Ombudsman may be able to help.
