Case summary
We issued a review and found that the default listed by the FSP on the consumer’s credit file was not placed correctly according to the requirements set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We found that the consumer’s claims that the signature on the credit contract was not his and that the account did not belong to him were, on the balance of probabilities, not made out.
